This study aims to investigate the effects of high-intensity interval training using the Tabata protocol on respiratory parameters, special endurance (cardiorespiratory endurance, anaerobic speed endurance, and strength endurance), and 800-m runners’ performance. A total of 20 well-trained males in the 800-m running were assigned into two equal groups, the experimental group, and the control group, and all mentioned variables were measured before and after 8 weeks of the intervention. Respiratory parameters were assessed by using a BTL-08 Spirometer device. Cooper’s 12-min running test was used to measure cardiorespiratory endurance.
